What it answers

How demand splits by release decade, and how fast a title decays after release.

How to read it

The left chart is share of demand by decade in the window. The right is a decay curve: demand by week since release, averaged across titles, with your own titles overlaid when you filter to a studio.

On the page

  • Filters: market, genre, format, studio.
  • Columns: decade, watchers, share, titles with demand, leading title.
  • Decay is shown at 1, 4, 12 and 52 weeks.

Tips

The decay curve is the case for catalogue. A title that keeps a third of its week-one demand at week twelve is a library asset; one at a tenth is a launch asset.
